PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the highly reliable high density recording by strictly controlling a laser power at the time of recording on each area of an optical storage medium so as not being influenced by the using frequency such as the number of writing or erasing, etc. SOLUTION: In the processing method of the optical storage medium the high power process to repeatedly plural times irradiate with a light beam having the power stronger than the power for the recording or erasing is applied on the power adjusting area of optical storage medium for adjusting the power of the light beam. Also, the magnetic field in the prescribed direction is impressed simultaneously with the irradiation of the light beam with the high power.
