PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically correct a retrieval information file when item information data in the table definition information file of a database is changed in a conversation-type database retrieval device retrieving the database defined by the table definition information file through the use of the retrieval information file. ;SOLUTION: A processing is executed by a retrieval information file check processing part 302 by using a retrieval information file 311 and a table definition information file 312 before the processing is executed by a database retrieval processing part 303. Then, retrieval information data 324 is generated based on a checked difference. The database retrieval processing part 303 using the retrieval information file 311 till then retrieves a database 313 by using retrieval information data 324 generated instead of the retrieval information file 311.
