BASE FOR CONSTRUCTING SEAWEED BED AND CONSTRUCTION OF SEAWEED BED THEREWITH, AND SEAWEED BED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for constructing a seaweed bed optimal for the growth of perennial seaweeds, and to provide a method for constructing the seaweed bed with the base. SOLUTION: This base for constructing a seaweed bed is constructed by fixing a lower structure 100 to foundation pillars 110 on a ground 10 and then disposing an upper structure 200 on the lower structure 100. The upper structure 200 has a first and a second vertical wave-eliminating plates 210, 220 and horizontal wave-eliminating plates 230 disposed between the first and second vertical wave-eliminating plates 210, 220. Imbedding blocks 300 are fixed to the upper sides of the horizontal wave-eliminating plates 230, and perennial seaweeds 20 are further imbedded in the imbedding blocks 300. The water depth positions of the horizontal wave-eliminating plates 230 are set to a depth where sufficient light reaches the perennial seaweeds 20. The perennial seaweeds 20 can be artificially cultured in a quiet region surrounded by the first and second vertical wave-eliminating plates 210, 220. The horizontal wave-eliminating plates 230 can be used as a stable foothold for workers, when the workers set the imbedding blocks 300.
