PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient document management system for a portable information management device. SOLUTION: A document storage management system performs communication with a document storage device and plural documents stored in the document storage device. Then this management system includes a group generator 72 which generates at least a group of documents from plural documents based on the contents of these documents, a selector 80 which can select at least a group of documents and a storage management device 82 which manages the storage of the selected group of documents. In such a constitution, the documents can be managed with high efficiency for a portable information management device.
