PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably distill an easily polymerizable compd. such as (metha)acrylic acid or an easily polymerizable compd.-containing soln. over a long period of time. ;SOLUTION: The perforated plate without weir 1 satisfies all of conditions of a hole diameter (d) of 10-25 mm, the center-to-center interval of two adjacent holes 2 of 1.2-3d, a plate thickness of 2-8 mm and a hole ratio of 10-30%. In the perforated tower without weir, two or more perforated plates without weirs 1 are provided so as to satisfy all of conditions such that the arranging interval of the perforated plates is 0.1-0.5 D (D; tower diameter), the horizontal common difference of each perforated plate is 8 mm or less and the center-to-center interval of two holes mostly approaching each other in the adjacent perforated plates when a plurality of the perforated plates are used in the same shelf is 50-150 mm. By distilling an easily polymerizable compd. by using these perforated plates, a distillation method preventing the formation of a polymer effectively can be realized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
