PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high density condenser free from heavy metal oxides and having high quality factor by adding barium borate and zinc silicate in a specific ratio to a dielectric ceramic composition comprising barium, titanate, which has been partially replaced with calcium zirconate in a specific ratio, and/or a rare-earth metal oxide which has been partially replaced with barium oxide in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: The molar ratio of barium titanate to calcium zirconate is in the range of 20-35 mol%. The earth metal oxide is expressed by the formula: xBaO.yTiO3.zRE2O3 (x=0-30 mol%, y=45-95 mol% and z=5-50 mol%). The dielectric ceramic powder for the condenser is composed of 91-99 wt.% dielectric ceramic composition and 1-9 wt.% two-component sintering and aid (zinc silicate of 0.5-4 wt.%; barium borate of 0.5-5 wt.% and barium borate of 0.5-5 wt.%). The temperature, coefficient of the electrostatic capacity is controlled by adding strontium titanate, barium zirconate or the like. The sintered body having a high performance can be obtained by sintering at =1,155 deg.C.
