PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document cooperative edition system capable of allowing an edition area and a reduced drawing to interlock with each other and a computer-readable recording medium recording a program for realizing the system. SOLUTION: The user names of respective computer devices connected to a communication route 1-4 and the positions and sizes of edition areas are correspondingly registered in a main picture management table 2b. A user name and a user name whose edition state is monitored by the user concerned are correspondingly registered in a monitor and management table 2c. When data are inputted from a main picture input device 2-11 or a reduced picture input device 2-12, these stored contents are updated in accordance with the input. When a similar input is generated in another computer device, a communication equipment 2-7 receives a message indicating the contents of the input through the communication route 1-4. The size 2f and position 2g of a main picture (a user edition area monitored by the user's own edition area) are managed by a main picture management device 2-5.
