PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of electrode parts made of a heating material containing MoSi2 as a main constituent and impart low-temperature oxidation preventing capability effective for a long period of time. ;SOLUTION: This heating material having a surface oxide film 3 formed and containing MoSi2 as a main constituent is provided with electrode parts 2 each composed by forming a metal film 4 on a part from which the surface oxide film 3 is removed, and a heating part 1 on which the surface oxide film 3 is retained; and each of the metal films of the electrode parts has an overlapping part 5 of at least 0.1 mm or more, preferably 0.5 mm on top of the retained surface oxide film of the heating part.
