PRODUCTION OF HEALTH FOOD USING SQUID SHELL AND BONITO GUT AS MAIN ROW MATERIALS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a health food having active ingredients such as calcium easily absorbable by a human body, by compounding a calcium condensate obtained through extraction from squid shells or powder of squid shell with a vitamin D-containing component obtained through extraction from bonito guts. SOLUTION: This process for producing a health food by using squid shells and bonito guts as main raw materials is characterized in that it comprises: the first step that the squid shells are washed, dried and crushed to obtain a raw material, an acid and water are added to the raw material, and as a result, a stock solution or a powdery material containing calcium, and dissolved active ingredients such as chitin, chitosan and other minerals in squid shell is obtained; the second step that, by using bonito guts as a raw material, an extract or a powdery material containing mainly vitamin D is produced; and the third step that the extract or powdery material of bonito guts obtained in the second step is compounded with the stock extraction solution or powdery material of the squid shells obtained in the first step to produce a stock solution or a powdery material containing both of vitamin D and calcium, and the stock solution or powdery material is processed into a granular, powdery or liquid product.
