TRANSPARENT FLUOROPLASTIC COATED STAINLESS STEEL PANEL EXCELLENT IN ABRASION RESISTANCE AND SCRATCH RESISTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance abrasion resistance and scratch resistance in a coated stainless steel panel wherein a transparent fluoroplastic coating film containing a polytetrafluoroethylene powder is formed on the chromate film with a total Cr content of 5-40 mg/m2 formed on the surface of a stainless steel panel. ;SOLUTION: A transparent fluoroplastic coating film comprises an acrylic resin-compounded polyvinylidene fluoride resin and contains 1-20 wt.% of a polytetrafluoroethylene powder with a particle size of 3-40 μm and wax is added to this coating film. As wax, paraffin wax and microcrystalline wax is pref. The thickness of the transparent fluoroplastic coating film is pref. set to 10-30 μm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
