PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent grains from being stuck in a polishing chamber and also to reduce broken rice in a polishing roll of an one-pass rice polishing machine in which plural projecting baffles are arranged on the outer peripheral surface of a polishing part by forming pressure vibration grooves extending along the projecting baffles on the outer peripheral surface between the projecting baffles. ;SOLUTION: Raw material grains G that have fallen into a fall cylinder 11 from a raw material tank 10 are sent to a polishing chamber 14 while pressurized by a grain sending screw of a grain sending part 25 and are moved while polishing pressure is applied to them in a polishing part 21 of a polishing roll A. At this time, the grains G passing through the polishing part 21 are moved while given vibration by pressure vibration grooves 30a, 30b. When the grains G abutted on an outer peripheral surface 21s of the polishing roll A is pressurized by a groove boundary part, they receive a strong pressing force, but when they pass the groove boundary part and are positioned in grooves 30a, they receive a small pressing force. The grains G thus are pressed by the projecting baffles 21a, 21b while receiving uneven pressure, and after that, they fall to a polished rice discharge port 41 from an outlet 39 and are housed in a polished rice vessel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
