PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube excellent in the chromatic purity using a color selective electrode which keeps a high surface accuracy even after electrode is welded while a high rigidity frame is used and offer a manufacturing method for a color selective electrode structure which ensures achievement of such an excellent color cathode-ray tube. ;SOLUTION: A frame is formed by welding together a plurality of frame pieces (Process 1), and the obtained frame is subjected to a press working (Process 2), and that surface of the frame opposing to the fluorescent screen of a color cathode-ray tube is subjected to a grinding process so that a color selective electrode welding surface is provided (Process 3), and then a color selective electrode is welded to this welding surface of the frame (Process 4).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
