PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method in which, when spreading version color selection electrodes are spread and fixed, they are spread at a level where picture waving is not a problem and in which a frame for the spreading version color selection electrodes of low cost and lightweight can be obtained.;SOLUTION: Molding is carried out so that the color selection electrode is supported in the horizontal direction X of a color cathode-ray tube, and a pair of first supports 3a, 3b and opposing second supports 4a, 4b are molded to become a continuous hollow-shaped object. After the molding, refining is carried out so that the 0.2% yield strength of a material constituting each first support 3a, 3b and each second support 4a, 4b becomes 80 kgf/mm² or higher.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
