METHOD FOR SETTING COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF AUTOMATIC TOLL COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR TOLL ROAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of a storing means by comparing a control information unit in control information with reference information held in a self-station each time one piece of the control information unit is decoded without decoding the whole control information received by an on-vehicle device at a time and retrieving and setting a communication function in which the function of a roadside machine and that of the on-vehicle device coincide. ;SOLUTION: In a roadside machine 1, a communication controlling part 14 reads control information from a storing means 15, encodes it according to a specific sequentially interpretable coding rule with an encoding function and transmits it toward an on-vehicle device 2 via a transmitter 12. The device 2 sends received contents via a receiver 23 to a communication controlling part 24 and stores a control information unit in a temporary storage function when a decoding function finishes dew ding of the one control information unit. A comparison function reads control reference information from a storing means 25, and when a control information unit coinciding with the control information unit in the temporary storage function exists, it performs prescribed setting to a function in a function group 26 corresponding to the control information unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
