PIVOTALLY SUPPORTING PART REINFORCING STRUCTURE OF SIDEWAYS OPENING TYPE BACK DOOR FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen a pivotally supporting part of a sideways opening type back door in a side opening edge of a back door opening with easy work. ;SOLUTION: A side opening edge 12 of a back door opening 10 has a connecting panel 19 which connects quarter inner panels 17, 18 facing each other back and forth and supports a hinge 13. The quarter inner panel 17 has a quarter extension panel 25 reinforcing a quarter inner panel body 24 of an upper part of the quarter inner panel 17. A lower opening edge 29 of the hack door opening 10 has a lower back extension panel 33 reinforcing a lower back body 32. After a part 35 of the connecting panel 19 which is located at a nearly same height as the hinge 13, the quarter extension panel 25, and the lower back extension panel 33 are overlapped one another, this three-overlapped part 37 is combined one another with spot welding parts S2, S4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
