PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject method capable of easily furnishing a cloth with a pattern of natural matter such as leaves, flowers or feathers by handicraft technique without using any printing technique. ;SOLUTION: This sublimation transfer dyeing method comprises the following four consecutive processes: (a) a cloth or nonwoven fabric of polyester fiber, polyamide fiber, triacetate fiber, acrylic fiber, polypropylene fiber, or blend thereof is put on a frame, (b) a natural matter for dyeing is laid on the cloth, (c) a sheet of paper for sublimation transfer dyeing use, the whole surface of which is coated with a sublimable dye ink, is superposed on the cloth so that the ink comes into contact with the cloth, and (d) a hot pressing is made on the sheet of paper to transfer the ink onto both the natural matter and the cloth to furnish the cloth with a resist dyed pattern of the natural matter.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
