PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform decomposing treatment of organic matters such as garbage surely and at a low cost by arranging a pre-treating device and a bio-treating device each provided with agitators and heaters side by side and performing decomposition of various materials by application of microorganisms under the feed of oxygen to each device.;SOLUTION: When material 10 to be treated consisting of various kinds of organic matters is treated, an opening/closing damper 14 is opened to feed the material 10 into a pre-treating device 1, and then by rotating an agitator 8 in the forward and backward direction, the material 10 is kneaded while being crushed. At this time, its temperature is set at suitable level by a heater 9 to promote transpiration of water content and activity of microorganisms. At the same time, air is taken in from an air intake hole 6 to give oxygen, and also the pre-treating device 1 is exhausted by a ventilating fan 12 to remove humidity and to adjust temperature. Exhaust odor is removed by a deodorizing device 11. After that, the material 10 to be treated in the pre-treating device 1 is fed into a bio-treating device 2 by a delivery conveyor 5 through an opening/closing damper 15, and the bio-treating device 2 is operated in the same way as the pre-treating device 1 to decompose the material 10 to be treated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
