PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a renewal working method for elevator capable of suppressing the noise and dust generation as much as practicable during the renewal works and also suppressing the total cost while the latest elevator controlling techniques and safety techniques are incorporated. ;SOLUTION: A renewal working method for elevator consists of the first period works to divide an existing hall for reformation and the second period works to install new elevator cars upon reforming the whole halls of all floors, wherein the first period works include only installation of a new locking device 23 as safety device and new door shutting device, and a device is equipped composed of an engaging piece 22 for under-construction mounted on an existing hall door 3 and the locking device 23 coupled with a coupling member.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
