PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain silicone-modified acrylic rubber particles used as an impact modifier capable of giving a thermoplastic resin composition improved in impact resistance and weather resistance by blending an acrylic rubber prepared by multistage copolymerization with a silicone rubber. ;SOLUTION: The particles are obtained by blending 10-99 wt.% acrylic rubber obtained by copolymerizing 65-99.8 wt.% (A) 1-12C alkyl acrylate or 4-12C alkyl methacylate with 0.2-10 wt.% (B) polyfunctional monomer having at least two vinyl polymerizable groups in the molecule, 0-10 wt.% (C) monomer having a vinyl polymerizable group and a reactive silyl group in the molecule, and 0-15 wt.% (E) monomer having a vinyl polymerizable group copolymerizable therewith in several stages in which the rates of component B used are different from each other with 1-90 wt.% silicone rubber obtained by copolymerizing 70-99.9 wt.% (F) organosiloxane with 0-15 wt.% (G) polyfunctional silane compound, and 0-15 wt.% (H) silane compound having a vinyl polymerizable group or a mercapto group (the amounts of components G and H can not be simultaneously 0 and at least either of them is 0.1% or above).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
