POLYMETHYLENE POLYPHENYLENE POLYISOCYANATE COMPOSITION FOR PRODUCING RIGID POLYURETHANE ROAM, PRODUCTION OF RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM, AND RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymethylene polyphenylene polyisocyanate composition which gives a rigid polyurethane foam excellent in resistances to flame and heat, flame retardance, and low smoke generation properties by selecting a polymethylene polyphenylene polyisocyanate composition which contains dimethylene triphenylene triisocyanate and an acid component, each in a specified concentration. ;SOLUTION: This composition, for producing a rigid polyurethane foam, contains 30-80 wt.% dimethylene triphenylene triisocyanate and 0.5-50 ppm acid component. Preferably, the composition contains up to 50 wt.% diphenylmethane diisocyanate and up to 50 wt.% higher polymethylene polyphenylene polyisocyanate. A rigid polyurethane foam can be produced from the composition, a polyol, a blowing agent, a catalyst, and a foam stabilizer.
