PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning mechanism for a toner concentration sensor, preventing, by a simple mechanism, deterioration in light-receiving sensitivity of a density measuring part due to sticking of toner an inner surface of a cell part. ;SOLUTION: This cleaning mechanism for a toner concentration sensor has a cell part 1 a part of which, being a concentration measuring part forming a passage for circulating toner ink, or the whole body of which is made of transparent members, and a light-emitting element 3 as well as a light-receiving element 4, disposed facing each other with the cell part 1 between, and a cleaning member 2 made up of an elastic body contacting with an inner surface of the cell part 1 is disposed in the passage in the cell part 1. A first supply port 5 and a first discharge port 6 are formed in one end of the cell part 1, and the first discharge port 6 is formed on the side of the concentration measuring part 19 of the cell part 1 relative to the first supply port 5.
