METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT EXCAVATION MUCK IN EXCAVATING TUNNEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the excavation muck from a working drift without large-scale set-up of a continuous belt conveyor in excavating a main tunnel in one direction and in other direction. ;SOLUTION: In excavating a main tunnel 31 in one direction, the excavation muck is carried to a merging part 32 of the main tunnel 31 with a working drift 30 by a continuous belt conveyor. In excavating the main tunnel 31 in other direction, a conveyor belt 1 is changed to reverse the carrying direction of the continuous belt conveyor by moving a head pulley 5 and a tail pulley 9 while leaving a belt storage device 4 for extending the continuous belt conveyor and a drive pulley 7, and the excavation muck is carried to the merging part 32 by the continuous belt conveyor. The excavation muck can be carried out from the working drift 30 without any large-scale set-up of the continuous belt conveyor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
