PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide preparation methods of a foam improving thermostability and a closed cell foam contractor having a delayed shape-restoration using the foam as well as controlling manufacturing costs due to no irradiation of an electron beam after foaming.;SOLUTION: Preparation methods are comprised of the following processes: (a) a process preparing a precrosslinked resin by precrosslinking of a thermoplastic resin using at least one means selected from the group consisting of an electron beam- crosslinking method, an ultraviolet crosslinking method, a silane-crosslinking method and a peroxide-crosslinking method; (b) a process preparing a closed cell prescrosslinking foam by foaming the precrosslinked resin; (c) a process preparing a closed cell crosslinked resin foam having a gel ratio not less than 50% by crosslinking using at least one crosslinking means selected from the group consisting of the electron beam-crosslinking method, the ultraviolet crosslinking method, the silane-crosslinking method and the perioxide-crosslinking method, being different from the crosslinking means used in process (a); and (d) a process contracting the closed cell crosslinked resin foam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
