PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a black coating compsn. which has a high optical density and a low surface reflectance even when it is a thin film by compounding at least a binder resin and a carbon light-screening agent and by imparting specified optical density and surface reflectance to the same. ;SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises at least a polyamide resin as the binder resin and a carbon light-screening agent and has an optical density per μm- thickness of 4.0 or higher and a surface reflectance of 3.0 or lower. Pref., the light-screening agent comprises a carbon black powder and a graphite powder in a wt. ratio of the former powder to the latter of (90/10)-(50/50). A wt. ratio of the light-screening agent to the binder resin of (80/20)-(40/60) is pref. in terms of adhesion to a substrate and photolithographic processibility. The carbon black powder pref. has a primary particle size of 40 nm or lower; and the graphite powder pref. has a particle size of 2 μm or lower.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
