PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonoriented silicon steel sheet low in core loss without causing the increase of the cost. ;SOLUTION: A slab contg., by weight, ≤0.005% C, 3.5% Si, 0.05 to 1.0% Mn, ≤0.005% (including zero) N, 0.1 to 1.0% Al, ≤0.001% (including zero) S, ≤0.2% P, and the balance substantial Fe is subjected to hot rolling, is pickled at ≥3% hydrochloric acid concn. at ≥70°C liq. temp. for ≥5 sec, is, if required, subjected to hot rolled sheet annealing and is subjected to cold rolling for one time or cold rolling for ≥ two times including process annealing to regulate its sheet thickness into the prescribed one, and finish annealing is executed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
