SOFT MAGNETIC METAL POWDER, POWDER AGGREGATE, AND GREEN COMPACT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a green compact capable of combining high saturation magnetic flux density with high magnetic permeability and also to provide a soft magnetic metal powder for the green compact, and an aggregate of this powder. ;SOLUTION: The soft magnetic metal powder 1 has a major axis L and a minor axis D orthogonal to the major axis L. The contour shape of a cross section in the direction of the minor axis D across the major axis L has a curved line. The external surface is provided with a shape of curved surface by making the above curved line continuous in the direction of the major axis, and both ends of the major axis L are formed into convex surfaces respectively. Further, when the maximum length of the major axis L and the maximum diameter length of the minor axis D are represented by L1 and D1, respectively, the value of the aspect ratio, L1/ D1, is regulated to 1.5-10, desirably 3-8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
