PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain an optimal solution. ;SOLUTION: A cathod ray tube(CRT) structure model is prepared by a computer (step ST-1), which element is used for specifying its plate thickness as a variable parameter is judged (step ST-2), the plate thickness of the element specified as the variable parameter is finely changed (step ST-3), sequential structure is analyzed by a finite element method (step ST-4), and an optimal solution and a CRT structure model corresponding to the optimal solution which are obtained from plural structure analytical results are displayed on a display or printed out to a printer (step ST-7).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
