PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new foamable reinforcing material composition, and further to provide a method for reinforcing car body by using the foamable reinforcing material composition. ;SOLUTION: This new foamable reinforcing material composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. epoxy resin consisting of a mixture of a bisphenol A type epoxy resin and a dimer acid-modified product of the bisphenol A type epoxy resin, (B) 2-30 pts.wt. fibrous material having 1-6 mm fiber length, and 5-200 μm fiber diameter, (C) 10-50 pts.wt. powdery methacrylate-based polymer, (D) 3-30 pts.wt. thermally activated type hardening agent of the epoxy resin, (E) 0.5-15 pts.wt. thermally activated type hardening catalyst for the epoxy resin, (F) 0.5-15 pts.wt. thermally degrading type organic foaming agent, (G) 50-200 pts.wt. inorganic filler, (H) 2-15 pts.wt. bubble-preventing agent, and (I) 2-15 pts.wt. carbon black.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
