PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a new exhaust emission control device for automobiles, capable of flexibly coping with the forms and types of automobile engines, external operating environment such as air temperature, humidity, harmful matters to be intensively removed, or the like, and allowing automobile users themselves as parts to be continued to be always interested in the problem of exhaust gas. SOLUTION: A purification chamber 4 filled with a catalyst for purifying exhaust gas and various types of substances 7 having the function of purifying exhaust gas, such as adsorbent for adsorbing harmful matter, very fine particles, nasty smell, is provided in the intermediate part of a cylindrical exhaust gas purifier body 1 on one end of which an exhaust gas inlet 2 is provided and on the other end of which an exhaust gas outlet 3 is provided, and the exhaust gas 8 is allowed to pass through the purification chamber. The exhaust gas inlet 2 is provided so as to be removably fixed on the end of the exhaust pipe 5 of an automobile.
