PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitating method for agitating heavy slurry, which is used in a semisubterranean floating-body base-isolation structure using heavy slurry, to prevent a decrease in specific gravity of slurry due to settling and separation thereof and prevent an increase in viscosity due to thixotropy. ;SOLUTION: In the semisubterranean floating-body base-isolation structure B, a heavy slurry 2 is stored in a container structure 1 formed in the ground A and the semisubterranean floating-body structure B is dipped in the slurry 2 so as to be supported by a base isolation device 3 or the like, one or more screws 4 are provided at a lower part of the structure B. And drive means for the screws 4 are provided. The screws 4 are rotated by the drive means to agitate the slurry 2, thereby preventing a decrease in specific gravity due to settling and separation of the slurry and an increase in viscosity due to thixotropy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
