PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To NC process an evaporative pattern for a casting having a vertical face without non-ground portions and eliminate necessity of a manual operation, resulting in reduction of a manufacturing cost by adding a wall face cutting pass, wherein vertical parts at the middle of a scan cutting pass, are sequentially connected at the shortest distance to the scan cutting pass. ;SOLUTION: A non-connected divide cutting pass is sequentially detected from the first divide cutting pass. When the unconnected divide cutting pass exists, the divide cutting pass found at first is taken as a connection cutting pass. When a vertical part exists on the divide cutting pass, the vertical part is removed to form a new divide cutting pass, so as to memorize an end position of the divide cutting pass wherein the vertical part is removed. The end point of the connection cutting pass formed in advance and the start point of the next connection cutting pass are connected by a moving pass T which is relieved to a safe height. Wall face cutting passes W1, W2, W3, W4 for connecting the end point at the shortest distance are obtained, and added to scan cutting passes A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 so as to form a new connection cutting pass.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
