PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it hard to develop insoluble deposits in a developing solution even when a large number of photosensitive lithographic printing plates are processed over a long period of time, improve the slip properties of the rear surface of a printing plate, prevent printing plates from blocking and a photosensitive film from separating and, at the same time, realize an excellent desensitizing properties and plate wearability and develops neither erasure stain no oxidation stain. ;SOLUTION: This support is formed by providing a photosensitive layer on one side of an aluminum support and a particulate covering layer having its average particle diameter of 5 μm or less on its opposite side to the photosensitive layer. Or the rear side or both the front and area sides of the aluminum support are processed with a metal fluoride-containing processing solution under the condition that a particulate covering layer is provided on the rear side or both the front and rear sides of the aluminum support so as to prevent the aluminum support from being etched by the metal fluoride-containing processing solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
