Expansion joint in concrete structures, which comprises two portions to either side of the expansion joint (2) to be anchored in the concrete and an intermediate central compressible expansion portion destined to be located in the expansion joint (2), characterized in that the portions to the concrete to be incorporated, are formed by two along each other extending side walls (7,8) which at their each other facing sides of the two elastic ribs (10) are provided, between which therefore a space for by water-swellable material is formed, whereas the expansion portion is formed by at least one elastically deformable bridge (9) between the two side walls (7,8).
