Panel interlocking device for jointly securing a first and a second panel (10, 12) in overlapping relationship, the first panel comprising a locking tab (14) folded from the first ring, the locking tab having a lap part ( 20) hinged by a part of its base with the first panel and a flange part (22) contiguous with it, the second panel including a retaining tab (30) defining a folding lock opening of the second panel and in which the retaining tab is moved off the plane of the second panel to receive the locking tab through the locking opening and to accommodate a part of the locking tab extending beyond the flange part and on which a locking edge (25) of the tab locking mechanism is provided on each of the opposite side edges of the locking tab on the flange parts to engage with the panel parts of the second located panel from adjacent to the complementary curved edges (43, 45) of the locking opening to maintain the first panel and the second panel in a locked partial overlap relationship.
