The invention provides a process and apparatus for the detection and control of termites.The invention uses a tubular body (12) having a triangular cross section to hold a bait of cellulose (14) impregnated with a slow acting poison.The tubular body (12) is placed partly in the ground so that the length of the tubular body is along the surface of the ground.The top of the tubular body is transparent so that one can easily see the bait through the top of the tubular body.
