An inner pipe can be fixed in the pointed end part and the measurement apparatus can be fitted in it. After the complete end part and outer pipe have been pressed into the ground and the inner pipe has been fixed in the pointed end part through the outer pipe, the outer pipe can be withdrawn from the ground. Devices are provided so that during the withdrawal of the outer pipe from the ground a filling medium can be introduced into the space left. The filling medium is formed by bentonite and/or grout.
