The apparatus has a reservoir for storing the cold drink (23), a source of steam, and a mixing chamber (30) in which, through a steam conduit (24) with a steam valve (26), steam can be mixed with the cold drink in order to heat the drink. A discharge conduit (28) discharges the warm drink out of the mixing chamber. The steam source comprises a boiler (10) which also has a hot water conduit which connects with the discharge conduit in order to clean the conduit after each drink discharge.
