The shop fitting has several vertical posts (2), each having a first vertical row of holes one beneath the other and a second vertical of similarly placed holes parallel to the first row. A number of horizontally extending plate material supports (4) each have a vertical row of hooks corresponding with the holes. Bars (5) are borne by the supports. The vertical posts have height markings in the form of regularly spaced holes with a deviating shape. Each post is hollow and in it parallel to one side is a reinforcement plate.
