Short replay facility for radio and TV transmissions uses solid state memory to allow user to repeat last few seconds of transmission

When not listening intently, radio users frequently miss the start of a sentence, e.g. a news item, in which they are interested. In a receiver fitted with the present system, a solid state memory holds the last 10 or twenty seconds of the broadcast in a 'first in. first out' stack. If the user presses the 'Repeat' knob, the memory contents are repeated through the loudspeaker. A similar system can be used for TV broadcasts.
