A combustion unit (69) comprises a combustion chamber which includes fuel inlet, air inlet and flue gas outlet. The fuel inlet is connected to an atomizer (71) which has a regulator for fuel temperature and pressure. The fuel is mixed with surface tension reducing agents. The atomizer is accommodated in the combustion chamber. A heat exchanger is provided to the flue gas exhaust path. An Independent claim is also included for power generation system.
