PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor that prevents working gas leakage from a compressor chamber by suppressing deformation of respective end plates of a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll.;SOLUTION: This scroll compressor 1 is provided in a casing 1A with a fixed scroll 8 and an orbiting scroll 9. The fixed scroll is formed on one side of an end plate 10 with a helical projection 11. The orbiting scroll 9 is provided on one side of an end plate 17 with a helical projection 18, which forms, in combination with the helical projection 11 of the fixed scroll 8, a helical compressor chamber 20. Working gas introduced to the casing 1A is discharged after compressed in the-compressor chamber 20. Thickness T1 (T2) of respective end plates 10, 17 of the fixed scroll 8 and the orbiting scroll 9 are determined to be larger than 0.9 times of the height H1(H2) of the respective helical projections 11, 18.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
