Antiparasitic and insecticidal agents isolated during the fermentation of Nodulisporium

The formulae above are examples of compounds isolated from the fermentation of producing cultures of Nodulisporium sp. These compounds are useful for the treatment of parasitic infection of domestic animals and poultry, particularly ticks, lice, fleas and other biting insects. They may also be used in the treatment or prevention of parasitic diseases, such as helminthiasis, in humans. Specific strains of the microorganism are MF5954, MF6047, MF6087, MF6206 and MF6222 (ATCC 74245, ATCC 74380, ATCC 74381 and ATCC 74382 respectively.)
