Disclosed is a forage or mainly energetic forage supplement for polygastric animals on the base of organic hydroxy compounds or their mixtures with aliphatic carboxylic acids and/ or their salts and fortifying additives, which consists of 50 to 97 wt. % of glycerol with propylene glycol, 1 to 17 wt. % of at least one nutritionally suitable acid, such as HCl, H3PO4, aliphatic carboxylic acids C2 to C20 or of at least one salt thereof, selected from Na, K, NH4, Ca, Mg salts, 0.9999 to 32 wt. % of at least one accessory component, selected from the technological water, partially saponified and hydrolysed glycerides, methanol, ethanol, methylesters of acids C12 to C20 and/ or 0.0001 to 4.0 wt. % of at least one fortifying additive, such as amino acids and salts thereof, of at least one compound of bio-elements selected from Co, Mn, Mo, Zn, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, J, Se, feeding salts and vitamins A, B, E, D and K, and the process for production by pre-esterification of lipids, by using of the glycerine phase in the production of methyl-, eventually ethyl- esters of carboxylic acids C12 to C20.
