îÇCHINE FOR ROW-INDEPENDENT MOWING MAIZE AND OTHER SIMILAR STEM CROPS

A machine for row-independent mowing of maize and other similar stem crops is provided with several picker and mowing drums (8-15), which are reflection-symmetrically placed on either side of a vertical longitudinal medium plane (16) of a machine (4) in front of a shredder with push-in rollers (5,6) for the mass mown. In doing so to rotate around the vertical axes mainly the picker and mowing drums (8-15) are set in movement by a driving device, which is connected with the central reducer of the shredder (3), and consists of two separate drive shaftings (27, 28) setting into rotation each time one group of the picker and mowing drums (8-15) on either side of the vertical longitudinal medium plane (16) of the machine (4), and both drive shaftings (27, 28) are overlapped with a joining shaft (30) connected with the central reducer of the shredder (3) and has a device for shifted in the time starting the both drive shaftings (27, 28) while starting the machine (4) in the mowing mode.
