An IntermittentlyDecanted Extended Aeration(IDEA) process characterizedin that an aeration period, asettling period and a decantingperiod are successively repeatedin that order in a single reactor, .......and influent wastewater is ........transversely supplied at thebottom of the reactor and slowlydiffused in the reactor whiletreated wastewater which isintermittently discharged duringthe decanting period is provided.According to the process of theinvention, wastewater can beefficiently treated without by-pass of wastewater under dry weather and wet weather conditions as well as stormy weather condition.
