Two ploughing devices are mounted in the chassis (2), laterally separated from one another in the travelling direction of the machine, and each of these devices comprises a wheel (8) with outwards-projecting arms contacting the soil. Each wheel includes brake (9) for ensuring that two successive arms are kept in ploughing contact with the soil. The brake is adjustable so that the wheel can be allowed to rotate if the arms come into contact with an obstacle, e.g. stone or root.
