The regulating circle for relieving pressure on the extension arm has a sensor arrangement reacting to changes in the lateral swivel position of the extension arm (A) with a disturbance variable. A further sensor arrangement on the lifting cylinder reacts to changes in the height position of the extension arm with a disturbance variable. Two correcting variables are produced in relation to the disturbance variables. One variable is supplied to the adjustment for the lift drive mechanism while the other correcting variable is supplied to the swivel drive mechanism for setting the extension arm in its normal lateral position.
