AN INTELLIGENT TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT NETWORK (TMN)

A Telecommunications Management Network TMN systemis described that utilizes Adaptive Enterprise Managementtechniques to create an intelligent TMN. In particular,according to one characterization of the invention,neural objects; fuzzy logic servers; artificialintelligence servers; and the introduction of an AbstractIntelligence Stratum (AIS) into the TMN model, create theintelligent TMN. According to one embodiment of theinvention, the intelligent TMN platform, comprises amultilayer TMN platform, and means for providingcross-boundary analytical services and knowledge domains in themultilayer TMN platform. The means for providingcross-boundary analytical services and knowledge domains in themultilayer TMN platform is the aforementioned AIS. Theinvention may alternatively be characterized as anintelligent TMN, comprising a multilayer TMN platform;and means for providing an integrated set of servicesutilized by all layers in the TMN platform in support ofapplications operating at each individual layer. Themeans for providing the integrated set of services isdefined, according to the invention, as AdvancedIntelligent Analysis Services (AIAS).
