Computer-implemented perceptual and cognitive training techniques forremediating schizophrenia, either prophylactically prior to the onset ofclinically observable schizophrenic behaviors or after the development ofschizophrenia symptoms in a person. The computer-implemented behavioralexercises are designed to be sufficiently intensive, both in the number ofrepetitions and in the attentional focus related to task difficulty, such thatpermanent changes in neurotransmitter expression are achieved.
