A system for simulating a business process, comprising: a) a model (506) for illustrating business conditions, the model having: tokens for indicating a parameter value; and a board, comprising areas representing business parameters and areas for storing an indication of the value of said parameters; b) a parameter processing device (502) for calculating business condition dependent on parameter values and on predefined rules, and for generating action parameters for performing actions in said model dependent on the calculated business condition, the processing device having: input means for inputting parameter values from said model or new parameter values; processing means for producing an updated status of process dependent on input parameter values, and for generating action parameters for updating said model; output means for outputting consequence parameter values indicating a status dependent on said input parameter values, and action parameters indicating an updating of the model.
